Schwarz/Weiss ist ein puristischer Film. Er beginnt mit einer Flackerreihe von 200 Einzelbildern im 25stel Sekundenrythmus abwechselnd Schwarz/Weiss, bevor er sich continuirlich um je eine 25stel Sekunde s/w verlangsamt. Nach 125 Bildern = 5 Sekunden endet er Weiss als Metapher fuer theoretisch unendlich.
Black/White is a puristic film. It begins with a flicker row of 200 frames in the 25tel seconds of rhythm, alternating black and white, before it slows down around one 25tel each second s/w. After 10 seconds it reaches 125 pictures. = 5 seconds and ends white as metaphor for theoretically infinite.
The Lutz Mommartz Film Archive is a collection of the film works of German film-maker Lutz Mommartz, considered to be one of the pioneers in the film genre known as the "other cinema". Mommartz was born in Erkelenz in 1934 and spent most of his life in Dusseldorf. He began making movies in 1967 and eventually became Professor of Film at the Kunstakademie Munster. He still lives and works in Germany, dividing his time between Dusseldorf and Berlin.
